Summer Is Over. Now What? Your Fall Skin Reset

Summer can leave behind more than vacation memories. By September, you may notice your skin looking a little more congested, uneven, dry or dull than it did at the beginning of the season.

That's not necessarily unusual. Heat, sweat, increased oil production, sun exposure, travel and even changes in your routine can all affect how your skin behaves. Then, as temperatures and humidity begin to change, your skin's needs can shift again.

Don't Rush to Change Everything

A new season doesn't mean you need an entirely new skincare shelf.

Instead, pay attention to what your skin is telling you. If you're suddenly feeling dry or tight, you may need more hydration. If summer left you congested, your routine may need adjustments that support clearer pores. And if you're noticing new discoloration after months in the sun, remember that treating pigmentation takes time—and daily SPF still matters in fall and winter.

This is also a good time to be careful about introducing several new active products at once. If your skin reacts, it becomes much harder to figure out which product caused it.

Think of Fall as a Check-In

Rather than trying to “fix” everything overnight, use the season change as an opportunity to assess your skin, simplify what isn't working and build a routine around what it needs now.

A professional facial can also help you better understand what's happening with your skin and determine which treatments or home-care changes actually make sense for your concerns.

Your skin changes. Your routine can, too.
